The C.I.C., within the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at Newcastle General Hospital, is situated in the main patient waiting area. It is managed by a trained oncology nurse who is supported in the Centre by a group of volunteers, some of whom have personal experience of cancer.
The centre provides basic and easy-to-understand information on subjects of interest to cancer patients, their families, friends and carers including the effects that a cancer diagnosis can bring and financial help.
