Scan results

Results for withdrawal scans are usually available the following Monday and you will receive a telephone call to advise you of these and whether you can recommence your T4 or if you need more treatment this will be fully discussed with you and you will be given a date for this.

Thyrogen assessments may take place on different days and you will be advised when your results are available. However, you should not have to wait more than a few days for these.

Each patient's case is evaluated and treated individually and not all patients will have neck and body scans. Your doctor will discuss this with you.
