Wendy is recently retired from managing a local charity.
She has been married to John for 43 years and has two daughters, aged 40 and 38.
She was awarded an MBE in 2007 and has recently been offered the freedom of Hartlepool for her work in developing services for children with special needs and their families.
She is currently a magistrate with the local bench.
